UNDICI PUNTI PER LOWES AL GOPro MOTORRAD GRAND PRIX DEUTSCHLAND

Si è da poco conclusa la gara Classe Moto2 sul circuito del Sachsering, tracciato impegnativo per i piloti, con molte curve a sinistra e una discesa velocissima seguita da una lunga salita. Sam Lowes, che scattava dalla terza fila, ha dato prova di tutta la sua determinazione. Il pilota inglese perde un paio di posizioni alla partenza, ma si lancia da subito al recupero, verso metà gara supera Aegerter e Cortese, raggiungendo l'ottava posizione, dopo pochi giri riesce a passare Luthi, e complice una caduta che vede coinvolti Rabat e Morbidelli all'ultimo giro, taglia il traguardo in quinta posizione conquistando 11 preziosissimi punti. Lowes mantiene la terza posizione nella Classifica provvisoria del Campionato del Mondo di Moto2. Il Motomondiale si ferma per lo stop estivo e Sam e il Team Speed Up scenderanno di nuovo in pista il 9 agosto ad Indianapolis.

"Il fine settimana non è stato facile e neanche partire dalla nona posizione, a metà gara della gara avevo una buona velocità ma, lottando con altri piloti ho perso un sacco di tempo, la seconda metà della gara ho tenuto un buon ritmo e ho spinto al massimo. Non è andata male, abbiamo avuto un pò di fortuna nell'arrivare in quinta posizione e conquistare undici punti, l'anno scorso qui abbiamo finito in ventesima posizione in questa gara e migliorare di quindici posizioni è un buon passo avanti. La squadra ha fatto un buon lavoro tutto week end, abbiamo lavorato sodo e penso che possiamo essere felici di lasciare la peggiore pista dell'anno”.

ELEVEN POINTS FOR LOWES AT GoPro MOTORRAD GRAND PRIX DEUTSCHLAND

The race of Moto2 Class has just ended on the Sachsenring circuit, demanding track for the riders with many left corners and a fast descent followed by a long rise. Sam Lowes, who started from the third row, has shown all his determination. The Briton lost a few places at the start, but he started immediately to recovery, at mid-race passes Aegerter and Cortese, reaching eighth position, after a few laps overtakes Luthi, and after the crash involving Rabat and Morbidelli at the last lap, crosses the finish line in fifth place earning 11 important points. "The week end was not easy and also starting in ninth position, in the middle of the race I had a good speed but, battling with other riders I lost a lot of time, but the second half of the race I had a good pace and I pushed. Was not too bad, we got a little lucky to take fifth position, eleven points, but last year we finished twentieth position in this race so fiftteen places higher is a good step. I think the team did a good job all week end, I think we worked hard and I think we can leave the mega worst track of the year for us with fifth position I think we can be happy. I gave my maximum and I look forward to Indy"
