GARA SFORTUNATA PER SAM LOWES ED IL TEAM SPEED UP

Si è da poco concluso il tredicesimo round della stagione presso l’affollatissimo circuito Marco Simoncelli di Misano, la giornata era partita bene per Sam Lowes ed il Team Speed Up, con un ottimo warm up nel quale era stato segnato il miglior tempo, il pilota inglese aveva avuto un passo veloce per tutto il turno ed i tecnici erano molto soddisfatti del setting della SF15. Il numero 22, che scattava dalla quarta fila della griglia, in partenza aveva mantenuto la posizione, ma dopo quattro giri molto probabilmente un detrito si è inserito tra il pneumatico e il parafango posteriore rompendolo e facendo perdere a Sam quattro, cinque secondi, dopo aver capito non c’era nulla di grave, il pilota inglese ha continuato, ma quando mancavano pochi giri dalla fine il parafango è esploso e i Marshall gli hanno imposto lo stop mettendo fine alla sua gara.

“Sono molto dispiaciuto di come è andata la gara, soprattutto perché il warm up era andato benissimo, il feeling con la moto era ottimo e anche il passo era consistente, purtroppo in gara ho avvertito qualcosa di strano e ho perso tempo, ma stavo andando bene, e anche dopo, quando ho capito che potevo spingere ho dato gas, sentivo che potevo raggiungere il gruppo di testa, ma alla fine il mio parafango è esploso a causa, si pensa, di un corpo estraneo tra la gomma e il parafango, avrei potuto continuare ma mi hanno dato bandiera nera. Peccato perché ero forte e avrei potuto finire la gara almeno tra in primi cinque. Ora voglio lasciarmi questa giornata sfortunata alle spalle e tornare sul podio ad Aragon”.

UNFORTUNATE RACE FOR SAM LOWES AND SPEED UP TEAM

The thirteenth round of the season has just ended at the crowded Marco Simoncelli Misano circuit, the day started well for Team Speed Up and Sam Lowes, with a great warm-up in which he scored the fastest time, had a strong pace for the entire round and technicians very happy with the setting of the SF15. The number 22, who started from the fourth row of the grid, made a good start and maintained the position, but after four laps, most probably a debris entered between the tire and the rear fender breaking it and making Sam loss of four, five seconds, after he realized that was not anything serious, the Briton started pushing again but when there were few laps to the end the fender exploded and Marshall stopped him putting the end to his race.

"I am very disappointed with how the race went, mainly because the warm-up went well, the feeling with the bike was very good and also the pace was consistent, unfortunately in the race I felt something strange and I lost some time, but I was going well, and even later, when I realized I could push I gave gas, I felt I could reach the front group, but in the end my fender exploded due, we think, to something between the tire and the fender, I could continue but I was given black flag. Too bad because I was strong and I could finish the race at least among the top five. Now I want to leave this unfortunate day behind me and get back on the podium at Aragon.
