SILVERSTONE GP - SIMONE CORSI GUADAGNA IL SESTO POSTO DOPO UNA STREPITOSA RISALITA

All’Octo British Grand Prix, sotto un insolito cielo soleggiato, il pilota Speed Up Simone Corsi conquista uno strepitoso sesto posto. Penalizzato dalla decima casella di partenza, il pilota romano ha condotto una gara intelligente risalendo posizioni ad ogni possibile occasione. Nell’ultimo terzo di gara ha costantemente staccato tempi superiori solo a quelli dei piloti in lotta per le prime posizioni, andando a sorpassare Aegerter e Manzi e concludendo la gara sesto.

Il compagno spagnolo, ha portato a termine la gara in ventiseiesima posizione dando atto ad una buona prestazione nonostante i problemi di setup accusati durante tutto il weekend di gara.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 6°
“Sono soddisfatto del risultato e di com’è andata la gara. Non siamo partiti bene, anzi, abbiamo perso due posizioni. Recuperare non è stato facile ed immediato, ci son voluti un po’ di giri prima di iniziare a sorpassare. Sono riuscito a rimanere con il gruppo che lottava per il 6 posto riuscendo a fine gara a centrare l’obiettivo. È stata una bella rimonta e voglio ringraziare tutta la squadra per l’ottimo lavoro svolto. Continuiamo così!”

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ#37 – 26°
“Un weekend difficile in cui non siamo riusciti a trovare la messa a punto per la gara. Abbiamo lavorato molto, apportando svariate modifiche alla moto per cercare appunto di migliorare il passo, ma non è servito a molto. Mi dispiace per il team che sempre mi supporta, ci rifaremo sicuramente al Gran Premio di Misano”.


SIMONE CORSI MADE A BRILLIANT COMEBACK RIDING HIS SPEED UP BIKE TO SIXTH PLACE AT THE SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT
At the British Grand Prix, under an unusual sunny sky, Speed Up rider Simone Corsi got a sensational sixth place. Penalised by his spot on the starting grid, the Roman rider rode an intelligent race, making up positions whenever possible. In the last third of the race he has consistently lapped at times that were higher only to those of the first-placed riders, overtaking Aegerter and Manzi and ending sixth.

His Spanish teammate finished the race in twenty-sixth position, concluding a good performance despite setup problems accused throughout the race weekend.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 6th
“I’m happy with the result and how the race went. We did not start well, infact we lost two positions. Recovering positions was not easy and straightforward, it took a few laps before starting to overtake. I managed to stay with the group struggling for the 6th place, succeeding at the end of the race to reach the goal. It was a good comeback and I want to thank the whole team for the great work they did. Let’s go that way!”

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ#37 – 26°
“A difficult weekend when we did not find the setup for the race. We worked a lot, making various changes to the bike to try to improve the pace, but it did not work much. I’m sorry for the team that always supports me, we will definitely go back to the Misano Grand Prix.”
