JAPAN GP - FERNANDEZ SFIORA LA ZONA PUNTI, MENTRE CORSI TERMINA LA GARA VENTUNESIMO

La pioggia battente ha condizionato il weekend del Gran Premio Motul del Giappone, disputato oggi sul Twin Ring Motegi e dove da poco si è conclusa la gara di Moto2. Una gara dal sapore amaro per Simone Corsi che ha accusato problemi di feeling durante tutto il weekend. In griglia ventottesimo, riesce a recuperare sette posizioni sebbene la mancanza di grip e si classifica ventunesimo. Il compagno spagnolo, Augusto Fernandez, dopo aver ottenuto la sua miglior qualifica del campionato, viene penalizzato da una brutta partenza. Nel corso della gara riesce con tenacia a recupera qualche posizione e a tagliare il traguardo sedicesimo ad un passo dalla zona punti.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 21°
“Il weekend è stato difficile sin dal venerdì. Non ho mai avuto un buon feeling sul bagnato, e non ho mai sentito di poter spingere di più. Mi aspettavo di recuperare molte più posizioni, ma così non è stato. Lasciamo questa gara alle spalle e proiettiamoci alla prossima in Australia dove torneremo competitivi!”

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ#37 – 16°
“È stata una gara davvero complicata sin dalla partenza dove ho perso parecchie posizioni. Mi è stato impossibile recuperarle poi e raggiungere almeno la posizione di partenza. Ho lottato per riprendere il ritmo, ma il poco grip mi ha ostacolato. Ovviamente la sedicesima posizione non è quella che ci aspettavamo da questa gara, soprattutto dopo le ottime qualifiche di ieri. Faremo di più a Phillip Island!”

“It was a really complicated race since the start where I lost several positions. I was unable to recover them and reach at least the starting position. I struggled to get the right rhythm, but little grip has hindered me. Obviously, the 16th position is not what we expected from this race, especially after the excellent qualifying of yesterday. We will do better in Phillip Island!”
