AUSTRALIANGP - CORSI IN ZONA PUNTI CONCLUDE SETTIMO E FERNANDEZ DICIASSETTESIMO

Speed Up Racing team finisce ancora una volta a punti con Simone Corsi che, proprio in gara, trova sensazioni migliori di quelle avute durante tutte le prove del Gran Premio d’Australia. Partito dalla terza posizione della quinta fila, il pilota romano cerca subito di recuperare posizioni per non staccarsi dai primi dieci. Fatica inizialmente per trovare stabilità in pista, ma una volta trovato un buon ritmo si fa autore di un’ottima rimonta e taglia il traguardo in settima posizione guadagnando nove punti in classifica. Il giovane Fernandez termina diciassettesimo la sua prima gara sul circuito di Phillip Island. Una buona gara per lo spagnolo che riesce a recuperare sette posizioni sebbene un errore a metà gara lo stava portando fuori pista.

SIMONE CORSI#24 – 7°
“La gara è andata bene, ma non sono soddisfatto del risultato finale. Purtroppo la qualifica di ieri c’ha penalizzato parecchio, partire dalla 15esima posizione non è mai facile. Avevamo un buon potenziale, e anche se il passo gara era buono non siamo riusciti a raggiungere i primi, il gap era troppo grande. È stata comunque una bella rimonta e voglio ringraziare tutta la squadra per l’ottimo lavoro svolto!”

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ#37 – 17°
“Mi dispiace non aver raggiunto la zona punti anche se la gara è andata bene. Ho recuperato molte posizioni durante il primo giro, peccato poi per un errore che ho commesso che quasi mi portava fuori pista. Sono riuscito poi a riprendere il ritmo e a recuperare fino alla 17esima posizione. In Malesia andrà meglio!”

Young Fernandez finished 17th in his first race on Phillip Island circuit. A good race for the Spaniard who was able to recover seven positions although a half-race mistake was taking him out of the track.

“The race was good, but I’m not happy with the end result. Unfortunately, yesterday’s qualification has penalized us a lot, starting from the 15th position is never easy. We had a good potential, and although the race pace was good we could not reach the top, the gap was too big. However, it was a good comeback and I want to thank the whole team for the good work they have done! ”

AUGUSTO FERNANDEZ#37 – 17°
“I’m sorry I did not reach the points zone even if I am happy with the race. I recovered many positions during the first lap, but then for a mistake I committed that almost led me off the track I had to fight more to get that position. I was able to find a good rhythm and recover until the 17th position. In Malaysia it will be better!”
