QUARTARARO CHIUDE LA TOP TEN DOPO UNA GRANDE RIMONTA AL GP RED BULL DE ESPAÑA

Il giovane Quartararo porta la sua Speed Up SF18 a punti nella prima gara in Europa del Campionato Moto2 2018. La sfida per la gara di oggi partiva in salita dopo la difficile qualifica di ieri che ha visto il pilota francese segnare il diciottesimo tempo. Nonostante la posizione in griglia svantaggiata, Quartararo gioca in rimonta sin da subito guadagnando posizioni giro dopo giro. Determinato a raggiungere la zona punti, continua la risalita fino all’ultimo giro concludendo la gara in decima posizione. Dall’altra parte del box, Danny Kent partito dalla p11 sfortunatamente cade alla prima curva dell’undicesimo giro. Sebbene il feeling con la moto nelle prove precedenti fosse molto buono, dei problemi con il cambio riscontrati durante il warm up non gli hanno permesso di portare a termine una buona prestazione in gara.

“Sono contento della prestazione di oggi e dei miglioramenti che stiamo facendo da inizio stagione. Dobbiamo lavorare sulla guida, già lo stiamo facendo ma non siamo ancora soddisfatti. Sto migliorando la partenza ed i primi giri che credo sia fondamentale. Al prossimo Gran Premio di Francia a Le Mans voglio dare il massimo, il Gran Premio di casa è sempre una grande emozione!”

DANNY KENT#52 – non classificato
“Ovviamente non sono contento del risultato di questo weekend. Avevamo mostrato un buon potenziale durante il fine settimana ed avevo un buon feeling con la moto. Sfortunatamente, dal warm-up ho riscontrato qualche problema a cambiare marcia che ho continuato ad avere anche in gara. Chiedo scusa al mio team, meritiamo risultati migliori di quelli che stiamo ottenendo in questo momento ma dobbiamo crederci, lavorare sodo ed i risultati arriveranno”.

Sorry to my team, we deserve better results than what we are achieving right now but we have to believe, work hard and the results will come!”
